Kristen Dixon graduated from Manhattan College in 2002 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree. She obtained her Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Sciences at St. Francis University thereafter.  Upon completion in 2004, Kristen moved from New York to Jacksonville, FL and began her career as a Physician Assistant with Borland Groover.  Kristen worked under the supervision of Dr. Jack Groover for her first four years until Dr. Groover’s retirement in 2009. Since then, she has been working under Dr. Daniel Kohm and Dr. Vikram Gopal.

Throughout her tenure, Kristen has helped thousands of patients with a variety of both gastrointestinal and hepatological disorders. She spends time with her patients helping them in understanding their disease, the available treatment options, designing the best treatment plan and managing their symptoms. Her experience is comprised of both the clinical and hospital setting.

Kristen is the only provider under Dr. Gopal who manages gastric pacers for gastroparesis in all of Northeast Florida. Her passion for treating gastroparesis has increasingly grown throughout her career with all the available treatment options that Borland Groover has to offer. She is also one of only a few providers who specializes in anorectal disorders, more specifically hemorrhoids.  Kristen uses the non-surgical approach to band hemorrhoids in our office using the CRH O’Regan System.

Kristen has the ability to provide complete care to her patients through Borland Groover’s Imaging, endoscopy and infusions center where she works out of our Southside office.
